Measured finishing labor

CO2 Masking and Cleanup Time

Build a measured labor ledger for masking, removal, cleanup, inspection and packaging. Separate one-time preparation from per-part work and keep this labor outside ideal engraving motion.

Content reviewed 2026-11-02. Verify the applicability of each source before using a value in a quote.

Input to record

Job quantity, observed setup minutes and labor minutes per part for each operation, plus the retained timing and method record.

Output to carry forward

Batch cleanup labor, allocated minutes per part and CSV. Add labor to the quote once; do not include it again in machine runtime or another finishing charge.

Measured cleanup ledger

Batch minutes = setup minutes + minutes per part × quantity, summed across operations. Enter labor minutes for this work center; elapsed machine time and parallel labor require a separate route. Nothing is saved after refresh.

Worked time record

Arithmetic illustration only: 10 parts with 5 minutes preparation and 2 minutes masking labor per part require 25 labor-minutes. A separate inspection step with 1 minute preparation and 0.5 minutes per part adds 6 minutes. The combined 31 minutes is not a cleanup benchmark or a recommended process.

Timing evidence

Enter your own records. These fields stay in this page until you copy or download them; refreshing clears the draft. Status is a manual shop decision and does not certify a setting.

Review the record below before export.

Record: Evidence supporting entered cleanup times
Status: Draft
Job / material / finish / quantity: Not recorded
Masking and cleaning method / supplier instructions: Not recorded
Timing date / operator / timed sample / interruptions: Not recorded
Inspection criteria / sampling plan / result: Not recorded
Quote labor bucket / excluded duplicate charges: Not recorded
Reviewer / date / limits of reuse: Not recorded

Sources and scope

Content reviewed 2026-11-02. A documentation reference supports the stated method or data only; it does not approve settings on another machine.

  • LaserCalc Pro methodology

The stage ledger is an authored dimensional calculation, not an externally published time table. Every time input is supplied by the shop; no masking or cleaning method is recommended.

Reference workflow

  1. Match the job, material, machine head, and quality requirement to a row.
  2. Confirm the source, review date, and confidence before copying the value into a quote worksheet.
  3. Use a measured result or current OEM record when the row is marked as required or unverified.
