Tube inspection and release record

Tube Cut Part Inspection Record

Record tube OD/profile dimensions, wall, length, feature results, orientation, end features, interior condition, seam, and cut edge against the user’s drawing or documented job requirements. No default tolerance or sampling plan is assumed.

Content reviewed 2026-11-02. Verify the applicability of each source before using a value in a quote.

Input to record

Drawing revision, material/batch, profile orientation, explicit limits, actual sample measurements, qualitative evidence, sampling plan, and authorized reviewer.

Output to carry forward

A review status and CSV record. Release is available only as the named shop reviewer’s recorded decision after applicable measurements/evidence are complete.

Tube inspection record

Enter actual measurements and the drawing’s explicit limits, then document the observed profile, orientation, end features, interior, seam, and edge condition. No tolerance or sampling plan is preselected. Inputs remain local and clear on reload.

Outside diameter / width

HOLD: Confirm whether this requirement applies.

Profile height

HOLD: Confirm whether this requirement applies.

Wall thickness

HOLD: Confirm whether this requirement applies.

Finished overall length

HOLD: Confirm whether this requirement applies.

End feature dimension

HOLD: Confirm whether this requirement applies.

Observed conditions

Profile identity / form

Drawing profile, material, orientation datum, and required form condition

HOLD: Record the requirement, observed evidence, and disposition.

Feature orientation

Drawing face/datum and angular or relational requirement

HOLD: Record the requirement, observed evidence, and disposition.

End-feature pattern

Required holes, slots, notches, bevels, and intended wall(s)

HOLD: Record the requirement, observed evidence, and disposition.

Interior / opposite wall

Documented interior condition and inspection access/method

HOLD: Record the requirement, observed evidence, and disposition.

Seam / surface condition

Drawing or documented job requirement for seam orientation and surface condition

HOLD: Record the requirement, observed evidence, and disposition.

Cut edge / burr / distortion

Documented edge, finish, and distortion requirement; no default tolerance

HOLD: Record the requirement, observed evidence, and disposition.

HOLD

11 incomplete or outside-requirement checks. Job, sampling, method, criteria, or reviewer fields are incomplete.

A release request stays HOLD until every applicable check and evidence field is resolved and at least one actual measurement is recorded. This is the user’s inspection record; the tool does not inspect a physical part, verify documents, or infer acceptance of unmeasured parts.

Inspection scope

Name the sample or part IDs, measurement methods, and drawing revision. Compare each numeric result to the explicit requirement supplied by the user; do not substitute a site-wide tolerance. For seam, orientation, interior, edge, burr, and distortion checks, retain the observed evidence and the requirement source.

A release record applies to the inspected sample and stated plan. It does not infer acceptance for unmeasured parts or certify machine capability. Keep failed and held results with the job packet and route unresolved conditions to the responsible quality/process owner.

Sources and scope

Content reviewed 2026-11-02. A documentation reference supports the stated method or data only; it does not approve settings on another machine.

  • BLM GROUP LT7 overview

Lists round, square, rectangular, open, and special profiles for a configured LT7. This is product information, not an operating/fixture manual or a universal profile approval.

  • BLM GROUP LT7 technical information

Describes machine-specific supports and handling features. It does not provide the fixture clearances, clamping torque, rotation settings, feature minima, inspection tolerances, or approval procedures needed for your machine.

  • LaserCalc Pro authored review method

The rotation equations and drawing-owned review ledgers are deterministic worksheets authored for this site. They preserve user-supplied drawing, CAM, fixture and measured evidence; they are not OEM limits, safety clearance, or manufacturing certification.

Reference workflow

  1. Match the job, material, machine head, and quality requirement to a row.
  2. Confirm the source, review date, and confidence before copying the value into a quote worksheet.
  3. Use a measured result or current OEM record when the row is marked as required or unverified.
