Tube axial length accounting
Tube Stock Length and Remnant Ledger
Reconcile one bar’s accepted part spans, nonoverlapping end trim, clamp/tail, CAM cut loss, and reusable remainder. Keep length yield separate from a nesting plan and material-charge policy.
Content reviewed 2026-11-02. Verify the applicability of each source before using a value in a quote.
Input to record
Actual stock and accepted-part axial lengths, distinct trim/tail/CAM loss, tagged reusable remnant, exact profile/material/machine/fixture, and CAM/review evidence.
Output to carry forward
Good-part length yield, good plus reusable length, unallocated stock length, and a CSV. Allocations exceeding stock are rejected; no nesting or material cost is generated.
One-bar length ledger
Reconcile one physical tube bar. Enter nonoverlapping axial stock allocations from the actual CAM and completed job. This is a length ledger, not a nesting optimizer. Do not use total 3D cut-path length as stock loss or copy flat-sheet kerf values. For miters/shared cuts use the CAM-assigned axial spans rather than adding overlapping part bounding lengths.
Complete every length field, including explicit zeros for unused categories.
Good-part length yield = accepted axial length ÷ stock length. Reusable stock is reported separately. Neither ratio establishes a material charge, reusable-geometry threshold, fixture-safe tail length, or customer credit.
Local draft only; refresh clears inputs. Download before leaving. No stock dimension is checked against an OEM configuration.
Sources and scope
Content reviewed 2026-11-02. A documentation reference supports the stated method or data only; it does not approve settings on another machine.
- BLM GROUP LT7 technical information
Source inspected 2026-11-02; publication date not stated. LT7 power/head, material categories, and configuration-dependent loading/unloading lengths. No grade, wall, feed, nozzle, focus, gas-flow, or pierce-time values are supplied by this reference.
- LaserCalc Pro methodology
Supports using source documents and measured shop records. Geometry, length accounting, and recorded-stage summation here are authored deterministic worksheets, not OEM cutting algorithms or tube productivity benchmarks.

| Reference | Source statement / method | Record / limit | Source | Applicability | Confidence | Inspected / reviewed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LT7 load lengths | Technical information states minimum loadable length 1.9 m and maximum loadable length 6.5–8.5 m. | These are configuration-dependent source statements, not a selectable range for every machine. Check the installed loader and OEM record. | BLM GROUP LT7 technical information | LT7 documented configurations; no fixture-safe tail or cut allowance is inferred. | Verified manufacturer values; exact setup requires confirmation. | 2026-11-02 |
| LT7 unload lengths | The technical page lists unloading length 4.5–6.5–8.5 m and separately states standard loading 6.5 m / unloading 4.5 m. | Record actual unloading configuration and part-removal method; do not assume all combinations coexist. | BLM GROUP LT7 technical information | Source-listed configurations; part geometry and fixtures remain separate checks. | Verified source wording, not a job capability guarantee. | 2026-11-02 |
| Length allocation | Stock = good-part axial spans + end trim + clamp/tail + other CAM cut loss + reusable remnant + unallocated length. | Make categories mutually exclusive. Reconcile one bar; for miters/shared cuts use nonoverlapping CAM-assigned axial spans. | LaserCalc Pro authored one-bar length ledger | Axial length accounting only; not 3D cut-path summation or a nesting optimizer. | Deterministic ledger; allocation requires actual CAM/stock evidence. | 2026-11-02 |
| Yield and remnant | Good-part length yield = good axial length ÷ stock length. Good + reusable ratio adds only the tagged usable remnant. | Keep remnant geometry, seam orientation, condition, stock tag, and reuse/credit policy with the record. | LaserCalc Pro authored length-ratio method | Length ratios are not material charge, nesting efficiency, usable volume, or credit approval. | No remnant threshold or credit inferred. | 2026-11-02 |
| Length example | Arithmetic only: stock 6,000 mm; good 4,500; trim 100; tail 300; other CAM loss 100; remnant 1,000. Unallocated = 0; good yield = 75%. | Every value is illustrative. Replace trim, tail, and loss with the actual fixture/CAM record. | LaserCalc Pro authored worked arithmetic | No recommended stock, tail, trim, kerf, or yield target. | Calculated illustration, not a production benchmark. | 2026-11-02 |
Reference workflow
- Match the job, material, machine head, and quality requirement to a row.
- Confirm the source, review date, and confidence before copying the value into a quote worksheet.
- Use a measured result or current OEM record when the row is marked as required or unverified.
